General Notes

The choice of watercolor paper was important to get the broken brush effect. The entire book was pencilled/inked in less that an hour, most of the actual work being done in planning.

Mr. Whiskers began as a doodle on a stray piece of white cardboard. At the Pittsburgh Comicon 2003... I bought a japanese fine line fountain-style drawing pen. After a week or so I couldn’t get the ink to flow anymore. I tried several methods to unclog the nib. Somewhere in the scratchings Mr. Whiskers was first drawn.
