[john peters]: When this series was produced I was busy putting together the [unfinished] Perils of Pandora series for Comic Library International. My only direct involvement in this series was in preproduction, basically playing around with Vince's ideas in sketch form, throwing in a few ideas of my own. The Proles had originally been created for an unfinished space-opera story I was working on, the only difference being that they were alien and not made of wood. Even the name is the same. Their look was based on a cartoon style I used around the age of eight, minus the toothy grin.
