Every year at the Summer Solstice, snails from all over the valley gather at the Great Garden for the Annual Slime Festival. This lively celebration includes good games, good food, good frolic, and the annual Slime Dance. But most come for the storytelling, because everyone knows a snail loves a good story.
All of the snails, young and old, some still in their shells, gather about the Big Rock to enjoy tales ancient and wise.
On the last night of the Festival, the Great Snail itself tells tales of fantastic places and acts of daring-do, such as “The Tale of Two Slugs” or “Princess Mitochondria and The Lion-Proof Suit”. He officially closes the festival at dawn with his favorite story, “The Spider and The Snake”.
